Well I lost 200 grams this week. I am happy with this considering how sick I have been. I am disappointed in the sense that I have still had large calorie deficits each day and it isn't apparent on the scales. However, when looking at my body I could feel that I hadn't lost anything. Also, it was worthwhile keeping up the training during my illness because the scary reality is that I could have put on weight. Since the journey began I have lost a total of 1.7kg. I am really happy with this, in the past it has taken me a lot longer to lose this. This journey is forcing me to reassess my eating habits and take responsibility for them. Already learning a lot, at least I still have another 9 weeks to lose the last 2.4kgs and put on some muscle. It is a journey of sustained weight loss :)
Food:
Started the day off great, all the way until dinner and then after dinner went - dates, choc biscotti and hot choc (all made with low cals but crapola all the same! ESP since I am trying to look great for the freaking wedding!)
- Breakfast - porridge, protien powder and honey
- Snack - 2 mandarines
- Lunch - chickpea salad
- Dinner - chicken rice paper rolls
- Dessert - crappy crappy crap crap
- Low calories prior to dessert and after prob around 1200-1400 cals :)
Exercise - 35 mins cross trainer, 15 mins 3km run, 40 min weights workout

Well done!! YAY!!! Thats awesome. I know, its disheartening when it doesnt reflect the work youve put in....but stick with it, itll fall off. And remember, at least thats 200gm that you never have to loose again...and 200gm you dont have to try and loose this week. Youre so ridiculously close to your goal!! Im still about 5kg away. Grrr!! Ah well.
Good luck for the weekend. Have a fun time, and just dont go crazy...even if you dont go fantastically. Im the same...I have a farewell party on Sunday for my sister..have to spend Saturday baking for it (as Im the baker of the family), so have to try and resist tasting as I go...and then resist over-eating on Sunday!!! argh!! hehe. will just try to do big workouts and dance lots at the farewell!
Gald youre almost better. congrats again on the loss!!
Totally understand! I will make sure I don't go crazy tomorrow and Saturday. Tomorrow I have to substantially limit my food intake to ensure a flat belly for the wedding. And then Saturday is minimalistic eating until the wedding. The wedding shouldn't be too bad, as I am a coeliac and I can only usually eat the main. But Sunday BBQs are the ones that worry me. Will attempt to work my will power muscles for the BBQs ;)
Goodluck with you weekend! That is tough that you have to do the baking and not test too much! Don't think that I could do it ;)
What are you baking???
Hey!!
How did the weekend go?? How was the weddding?
I got an ear infection last week, so couldnt exercise...and ended up eating too much!! but oh well, on to a new week!! Not letting it stop me.
hehe...I was ok with the baking actually, better than I usually am at least!!
I made cherry ripe slice, cupcakes with 2 different types of icing and a raspberry muille-fruille or something along those lines....its a french butter pastry, custard dessert thing. Looked awesome!! hehe.
Hows this week going?
Are you going to the end of round party...or thinking about it at all?
Hey,
Just posted. Lucky you sent me a message. I was in denial about posting my blog :)
Weekend = not very healthy. However, I had an amazing weekend! Had an absolute blast over the last four days! Couldn't have been better!
On the health front, not so great. Still kept up with the exercise, but food intake went to crap. Unhealthy- central. In denial about getting on the scales this week, super scared that I have put all my weight back on. Whoopsi...
However, I am actually okay with the weekend. Not beating myself up at all. I know that in real life I never have 4 days straight (other than christmas) that go like this. And I am content with the fact that I have 8 more weeks to get to my goal weight (even if I have to start from square one again :) )
Not good that you got an ear infection! They are nasty, I used to get them all the time as a child. You poor thing. Don't stress about not exercising! That's tough!
Your food sounds amazing! I don't think I would be capable of self control ;) Yum!
I have considered going to the party. Would be fun. Will have to see where I am at with my thesis closer to the date. Are you going?
Hey!!
hehe...I know how you feel...bad eating makes me shy away from the blogging!!
Glad you had a great weekend though....even if the eating was a bit off, its still great to have a fun time!!
Have you weighed in yet? Like I said, my scales are broken...but I know Ive put on weight. Hopefully next week Ill have some new ones next week and my weight will be back down!
Thanks...its almost better now.
haha....yeah, it was very yummy... and I certainly did taste it, but I didnt go too overboard.
mmmm Id like to go...even just to have something to train for...and as an escape from the cold weather! Plus Ive had a look at flights and it doesnt seem all that expensive. But yeah, Id like to go simply so I have a goal and know that everyone there will want to know what Ive achieved in the last 12 weeks....
Hope your week is going well!! Im sure youre back on track and kicking ass!! hehe.
